Life in Instagram

What even is this and why does it exist? This is the reason I love thrifting.

The Windy City

On Monday my sister, boyfriend, friend, and myself headed out for Chicago. We went from being super intimidated by the bus system, to being pros in a matter of three days.
The Art Institute of Chicago was fabulous. I saw so many paintings I thought I'd never see in real life. It really is different to view art in person than on a computer screen.
I thought this was the coolest thing. You can sort of "rent: bicycles. You just pay for the amount of time you want to use it, then return it.
This guy was totally weird. He was a rollerblading super hero lizard direction man. You give him money, then he answers any directional questions you may have. Creative...
I was really excited to be off of the bus and walking around.
The Bean! I never thought a huge glass lima bean would be so cool.
Rothko for life.
I really can't wait to go on another trip to Chicago! There is so much to see that I feel like it takes multiple trips to see it all. I will share more photos in another post soon!

Stuff I Luff #76

After seeing Lyzi in this dress (different pattern), I decided to check out the whole website. I absolutely adore this dress' pattern and shape.

This shop has the BEST jewelry. I love the little heart detail on the right ring.

Oh man do I love candles. I love the sleek, clean design of these.

These soaps look so colorful and are made with good ingredients to keep your skin soft! The description make them sound like they would smell so yummy.

Top 12 Fav Products

I am the type of person to find a product I really love then never use anything else. It took me some time to find the perfect products for me, and I am still searching in some categories. Here are 12 products I adore and use every day.
No 7 Beautifully Matte Foundation- This is seriously the best foundation ever. I have used everything from expensive bb creams to drugstore foundations and this is by far the best I have found. I have combo skin that gets pretty oily throughout the day. I wear this with a little powder and I really only have to add a little more powder towards the end of the day.
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm- I am all about this balm! I have it in two different colors in which sometimes I mix together. It is super moisturizing for your lips, but it also last quite a while.
Maybelline Super Stay 14Hr Lipstick- This stuff lasts sooo long! I love the colors it comes in too. I will put this on followed by the matte balm and it is perfect, lasts all day! The main reason I like to wear the balm over this is because I feel like this lipstick is sort of drying.
Cocoa Butter Vaseline Lip Jelly- This stuff is amazing. I used to use Burt's Bees, but then I realized that my lips were not getting any better. They were dry and cracked no matter how much I put on. This stuff smells so good and feels great on your lips.
Redken Wool Shake- I use this every once in a while when I feel like my hair needs a little oomf. It is sort of drying, so I don't like to use it every day. It adds a nice texture to your hair and helps it stay volumized.

Beauty Blender Sponge- I bought mine from TJMAXX, but you can get a beauty blender pretty much anywhere. They even sell it at drugstores like Walgreens. This thing makes my face look so flawless. The best part is no more streaky foundation lines!
Secret Clinical Strength Clear Gel Deodorant- Not only does this deodorant work all day (no B.O.!), it smells so good!
Monistat Anti-Chafing Gel- I saw on Pinterest that this gel has the same ingredients as the oh so expensive Smashbox photo finish primer. I have used both and I can tell you that it is the exact same thing. I was looking online to buy the Smashbox primer after using a sample, but when I saw how expensive it was I stopped dead in my tracks. Seriously, for $8 a tube that lasts forever, why not? For real though, go buy some asap.favoriteproducts9 SheaMoisture Coconut and Hibiscus Body Lotion- I love how my skin feels and smells after I use this buttery lotion. I usually buy it when it is on sale though because I go through it pretty quick.
Real Techniques Powder Brush- I saw a couple Beauty Bloggers/Youtubers recommend the Real Techniques range and I had to try one. I seriously love this brush so much, I have been wanting to buy more. It just distributes the powder so evenly, it is better than any powder brush I have ever used.
DKNY Be Delicious Green and Red- I love both of these apple scented perfumes. I really want the Fresh Blossom one. I have the smaller size and they are still going strong after a few years,
Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette- I saved the best for last. This is the best investment I have ever made, even though it is not really too expensive compared to other palettes. I literally have used this every single day for about a year and a half. I am about due for a new one. The dark brown shade is perfect for filling in eyebrows, the other colors instantly make me look less tired and feel naturally pretty. If you are looking for a natural toned matte palette, this is it.
